Midview Football runs to 41-27 victory over Elyria
Midview Varsity Football snapped a four-game losing streak and evened its record with a 41-27 Southwestern Conference victory over visiting Elyria High School Friday (October 10) night on Ross Field at Adelsberg Stadium.
Senior Marcus McMahon, who finished with 24 carries for 168 yards, ran for five touchdowns (2, 6, 20, 5 and 3 yards), and junior Brennen Newton scored another one-yard TD on the ground in the win. Midview led 41-6 after three quarter, but Elyria fought back against the reserves before an interception from junior Peyton Ansel sealed the win with an interception. Senior Shay Williams completed 9-of-13 passs and threw for 159 yards. Senior Zachary Wallace pulled in five receptions for 115 yards. Senior Brayden Homoki and junior Sawyer McMillin both had seven total stops in the win.
