Midview Girls Wrestling places fourth at OHSAA Sectional Tournament
Midview Varsity Girls Wrestling had its postseason kickoff with a solid start Sunday (March 1) at the OHSAA Sectional Tournament, hosted by Avon Lake High School.
The Middies had a record five of its seven wrestlers post top-four finishes and advance to the next weekend of the tournament. They also compiled 96.5 points, which ranked fourth out of the 25 teams represented at the event.
Freshman Aubree Costlow (115 pounds) and junior Alaina Malone Brown (145 pounds) both took runner-up, while junior Skye Price (110 pound), junior Olivia Kirkpatrick (155 pounds) and freshman Summer Massey (190 pounds) all placed third to advance to Districts.
Senior Anna Baker (170) and freshman Makenzie Skolyak (105) wrapped up their season with sixth place finishes.
The OHSAA Northwest District Tournament will be held at Findlay High School on Sunday (March 8). Action is slated to begin at 9:30 a.m.
