Midview Girls Basketball opens DiFranco Classic with a 53-43 win over Vermilion

Midview Varsity Girls Basketball kicked off its season and the 25th DiFranco Memorial Classic with a 53-43 victory over visiting Vermilion High School on Wednesday (November 26) afternoon.

Senior Leah DiFranco, playing in the event that honors her grandfather Bob and uncle Troy for the last time, contribued a team-best 19 points in the win. Senior Hunter Crum added 15 points, and sophomore Leila Morgan followed with 13 points in the win.

The Middies (1-0) quickly jump into Southwestern Conference play with a match-up against defending league champion Olmsted Falls High School on Wednesday (December 3) at 7 p.m.
