Girls Basketball routs rival North Ridgeville 65-51
Midview Varsity Girls Basketball dominated the middle two quarters en route to the 65-51 victory at host North Ridgeville High School on Wednesday (February 5) evening.
The Middies and Rangers were tied at 14 after the first 8 minutes. Midview then won the second quarter 15-5 and the third quarter 23-6 to build a 52-25 advantage with one frame to play. North Ridgeville won the final quarter 26-13 but it was far too late to alter the result, and Midview avenged an early 50-31 loss.
Junior Leah DiFranco led all scorers with 25 points, while classmates Hunter Crum and Audrey Gerber as well as freshman Leila Morgan all added 9 points in the win.
The Middes (6-14, 4-9 SWC) wrap up the regular season at home against Avon High School on Saturday (February 8) at 12:30 p.m. The team will honor lone senior Ava Lewis prior to warmups.
