Crum breaks three-point record in Girls Basketball win over Lorain

Midview Varsity Girls Basketball used its long range shooting to down visiting Lorain High School 65-46 Saturday (December 7) on Troy DiFranco Court inside Kubuski Gymnasium.

Junior Hunter Crum connected on a school record-breaking 6 three pointers, and the Middies finished with 12 field goals from beyond the arc. The program's previous three-point field goals made record was 5 and set by Lisa Krasienko in 2003-04 then matched multiple times over the years including by efforts from current team members Crum and junior Leah DiFranco. DiFranco actually tied it in two of the first three games of the year.

DiFranco continued her hot start offensively with 24 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists, while Crum ended with 18 points and 10 boards, freshman Leila Morgan contribute 8 points and 15 rebounds and junior Riley Frei had 6 points, 5 boards and 6 assists in the win.

The Middies (3-2, 1-0 SWC) visits defending OHSAA Division I Champion Olmsted Falls High School on Wednesday (December 11). Action begins with the JV game at 5:45 p.m. Varsity will follow at 7 p.m.
