Ten Middies to compete at OHSAA Division I Regional Track and Field Championship
What: OHSAA Division I Boys and Girls Track & Field Regional Championship
Who: Midview and the other Top 4 Individuals and Relays from the Avon, Brunswick, Findlay and Clay Districts.
When: Wednesday (May 28) and Friday (May 30). Field Events begin at 4 p.m. Running Events start at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Port Clinton High School's True-Lay Stadium (601 W. Fremont Rd. Port Clinton, OH 43452)

Midview Qualifiers: Midview will have representation in six individual events and two relays at the Regional competition. Sophomore Cora Vance qualified for three event and will run in the 200m Dash prelims after finishing thid at the District Championship. She will join sophomore freshman Hannah Bacskay, sophomore Ava Hamm and sophomore Leah McKay in running the 4x100m Relay and freshman Molly Ockuly, Bacskay and freshman Leila Morgan in the 4x400m Relay. TheMiddies placed third in both events last week. Senior Sigurd Hansen is slated to compete in both the High Jump and Long Jump after placing fourth in both events at the District Championship. Senior Logan Bier will race in both hurdle prelims. He took runner-up in the 110m Hurdles before winning the 300m Hurdles at the District Championship. Senior Nolan Roth finished fourth in the 110m Hurdles and will join Bier in that regional prelim. Junior Jeffrey Wirth wraps up the regional qualifiers. He will compete in the Shot Put after finishing fourth this past week.

Tickets: Tickets are sold online at http://ohsaa.org/tickets [Track and Field --> Division I --> Port Clinton] Adult tickets are $11 and students are $5. Cash sales only at the door. Gates will open at 3 p.m.
Spectator Information: Gates open at 3 p.m. No spectators are permitted inside the track unless otherwise designated.
- LONG JUMP VIEWING – Spectators will be allowed inside the gate, bleacher seating is available. ABSOLUTELY NO DRINK OR FOOD MAY BE BROUGHT INSIDE THE FENCE.
- HIGH JUMP VIEWING – Spectators can view the High Jump at the South End of the Stadium
- SHOT & DISCUS - Spectators may bring a lawn chair, bleacher seating will be available
- POLE VAULT – Spectators may bring a lawn chair, bleacher seating will be available
Parking: General Parking, at no charge, will be available in two lots off of Rt. 53, Fremont Road: (See Map)
- Directly across from our Bus Garage
- On the East Side of the Stadium, to the North of the Visitors Stands
** Attendants will be available to direct you in both Lots.
Entrances: Spectators may enter the Stadium at one of Three Gates (see map).
- 6th Street – Across from Bataan Elementary School (Cash Sales)
- 5th Street – Adjacent to the Parking Lot on the East Side of the Stadium (Cash Sales)
- Rt. 53/Fremont Road – North of the Parking Lot across from the Bus Garage (No Cash Sales)
Restroom and Concessions: Located in the Fieldhouse to the North of the Home Grandstands on the West Side of the Stadium.
What's at Stake: 4 individuals and 4 relay teams from each event AND the next TOP 2 times/heights/distances from around the STATE will advance to the OHSAA Division I Championship, which will take place June 6-7 at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on the campus of The Ohio State University.
