Midview Baseball drops league game at North Ridgeville
Midview Varsity Baseball finished on the short end of a 12-2 Southwestern Conference game at North Ridgeville High School on Monday (April 13) evening.
The Rangers out-hit the Middies six to four and took advantage of 15 walks over the six inning game.
Junior starter Luke Jockel (0-2) was tagged for five runs on three hits over two frames. Junior Cole Lowrie and freshman Kellen DeSimone also saw action on the mound on Monday.
Midview's first run came on a groundout by senior Brayden Widenmeyer in the fourth, while junior Jake Ellis added a RBI single in the fifth.
With their home field not quite ready, the Middies (1-3, 1-3 SWC) will return to North Ridgeville for the second game of the series on Tuesday (April 14) at 4:45 p.m.
