Midview Baseball's rally comes up short against Olmsted Falls
Midview Varsity Baseball put the tying run on third base during the final at-bat of its Southwestern Conference slate, but Olmsted Falls High School escaped with a 3-2 victory Tuesday (May 13) evening.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning and then added a pair of runs in the third frame. Midview, who out-hit Olmsted Falls 8-4, finally got on the board in the seventh. Junior Damien Presser delivered a pinch-hit RBI single, while classmate Daniel Melendez, who finished 3-for-4, added the same with the bases loaded four batters later. The Middies, however, got no closer as a flyout ended the game.
