Bulldogs rally past Middies in Varsity Baseball
Midview Varsity Baseball let a two-run lead slip away midway through a 10-7 loss to host Olmsted Falls High School Monday (May 12) in Southwestern Conference action.
The Middies jumped out to a 4-1 lead after two innings and then extended it to 6-4 after four frames, before the Bulldogs errupted for a six-run fifth to take control of the outcome. Midview added a single run in the sixth but could not get any closer.
Sophomore Seth Randall paced the team with two hits, including a double and two RBI. Junior Kaiden Vogelpohl added a hit and two runs driven in in the loss.
Senior Henry Calcut (2-4) suffered the loss after being tagged for six runs on five hits over 2 2/3 innings.
Midview (6-12, 4-9 SWC) will look to bounce back Tuesday (May 13) when it hosts Olmsted Falls in their league finale at 4:45 p.m.
