Midview Baseball tops Elyria 6-1

Midview Varsity Baseball, playing its first game in more than a week due to weather, earned a 6-1 Southwestern Conference win at host Elyria High School on Wednesday (May 7) evening.

The Middies received a stellar pitching performance from senior Noah Munshower. Munshower (4-4) scattered one unearned run on three hits with eight strikeouts in the complete-game victory.

Junior Kaiden Vogelpohl finished 3-for-4 with a double, while classmate Daniel Melendez added a 3-for-3 with another double performance.

Midview (5-11, 3-8 SWC) will look for the season sweep of Elyria on Thursday (May 8). The Middies 10 seniors will be honored prior to first pitch, which is at 5 p.m.
