Berea-Midpark knocks off Varsity Baseball 13-6
Midview Varsity Baseball suffered a 13-6 Southwestern Conference loss to host Berea-Midpark High School on Tuesday (April 15) evening.
The Middies jumped out to a 3-0 advantage in the top of the first courtesy of a RBI single by senior Chase Harper and a two-run double by junior Daniel Melendez. The Titans, however, scored the next eight runs (all unearned) to take command of the game. Junior Brayden Widenmeyer blasted a two-run home run in the fifth, while senior Camden Scott drove in the final run with a groundout in the sixth.
Senior Noah Munshower took the loss after allowing eight unearned runs on seven hits with one strikeout over three innings.
The Middies (2-7, 1-5 SWC) are back on the diamond Wednesday (April 16) for a non-league game at home against Bay High School. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m.
