Varsity Baseball defeats Rocky River 5-4

Midview Varsity Baseball defeated host Rocky River High School 5-4 in non-conference action Thursday (April 3) afternoon.

The Middies out hit the Pirates 6-3 and scored all of their runs in the third inning. The first two runs scored on an error after a single by junior Kaiden Vogelpohl. Sophomore Benjamin Szczepanski followed with a RBI single, before senior John Derringer (2-for-3) drove in another run with a single and sophomore Luke Jockel plated the fifth run with a RBI groundout.

Senior Noah Munshower (1-1) earned the win after allowing one unearned run on two hits with four strikeouts over four innings. Senior Camden Scott got the save with a perect seventh frame.

The Middies (1-2) return home to host Buckeye Friday (April 4) at 5 p.m.
