Four Middies to race at OHSAA Division II Regional Championship on October 25

What: OHSAA Division II Boys and Girls Regional Championship

Who: The top 39 teams and 78 individual qualifiers representing the GlenOak, Lorain and Madison Districts

Midview's Representatives: Freshman Andrew Downey will represent the Midview boys, while sophomore Hannah Bacskay, Sophia Morgan and Molly Ockuly will represent the Midview girls in the regional competition.

Historical Perspective: The last Midview female to run a Regional Cross Country race was Audrey Sanzone in 2021. Prior to that it was all of the way back in 2001. It is the first time in known history that Midview will have three female cometitiors and a freshman of either gender competing at the Regional level. [If anyone knows otherwise please share!]

When: Saturday (October 25). Girls Race is at 1:40 p.m.; Boys Race is at 2:20 p.m.

Where: The Course at Boardman High School (7777 Glenwood Avenue, Youngstown, 44512)

Tickets: Tickets are $12 for Adults and $5 for Students and sold online at http://ohsaa.org/tickets. Children under 5 are admitted free. You can also pay cash as you enter the property.

What's at Stake: The top 10 schools and 20 individuals from non-qualifying teams will advance to the OHSAA Championship at OHSAA State Championship on November 1 at Fortress Obetz and Memorial Park (4175 Alum Creek Drive, Obetz, OH 43207)
