Midview Cross Country races at Ashland Invitational

Midview Cross Country continued its season Saturday (August 30) morning at the Ashland Invitational where the boys placed 15th and the girls did not have enough to register a team score.

Sophomore Hayden Maxwell was once again the top Midview finisher as he placed 48th (17:53.8). Freshman Andrew Downey placed 99th (18:50.7). Junior Cayden Coker was 123rd (19:33.0). Sophomore Noah Brady took 136th (19:54.7). Junior Andrew Hignett was the fifth Middie to cross the line. He took 176th (20:32.1). Junior Isaiah Lehota (21:04.6) and freshman Reed Gibson (21:14.8) also competed in the race.

The girls lineup was short-handed due to their multi-sport athletes being in competition elsewhere. Junior Evalynn Thompson led the Middies by finishing 89th (23:17.6). Sophomore Sophia Morgan followed in 95th (23:22.2). Junior Madelyn Czellath took 142nd (25:22.2), while senior Aubrey Lehota finished 215th (31:28.6).

Midview returns to action Saturday (September 6) when the team competes at the Buckeye Invitational.
