Midview Cross Country finishes season at District Championship

Midview Varsity Cross Country wrapped up its 2024 running season at the OHSAA District Championship Saturday (October 19) at Lorain County Community College.

The Middie Boys placed 21st as a team in the Division I race. Senior Lucas Edgell was the team's top finisher. He finished the 5K race 81st (18:37.83). Junior Samuel Estes (18:59.45) placed 99th. Freshman Hayden Maxwell (20:10.00) cross the line in 132nd, freshman Noah Brady (20:54.19) was 146th and senior Reuben Greenly (20:55.81) followed in 14th. Junior Christopher Payne (155th / 21:33.46) and sophomore Andrew Hignett (160th / 21:57.07) rounded out the Midview runners at the event.

Midview Girls had 4 runners compete in the Division II race. Freshman Hannah Bacskay cross the 5K line in 24:11.67 to finish 72nd. Sophomores Alison Winslow (25.47.70) and Madelyn Czellath (27:13.99) followed in 92nd and 109th, respectively. Junior Aubrey Lehota (28:53.80) capped the finishers by placing 120th.
