Midview Cross Country Competes at SWC Championship

Midview Varsity Cross Country competed at the 2024 Southwestern Conference Championship Saturday (October 12) at Lorain County Community College. The Middie boys finished 8th as a team and the girls did not score as a team. [Complete Results]

Senior Lucas Edgell paced Midview with a 23rd place finish, finishing the course in 18:36.39. Junior Samuel Estes was the next Middie to cross the line. He took 39th (19:23.7). Hayden Maxwell was right on his tail, finishing 19:32.9 and placing 40th. Senior Reuben Greenly (45th / 20:09.5) and junior Christopher Payne (51st / 20:58.0) rounded out the placers while Noah Brady (53rd / 21:39.9) also competed in the race.

Midview girls had three runners available on Saturday. Freshman Hannah Bacskay finished 31st (23:42.0), sophomore Madelyn Czellath took 45th (27:06.2) and junior Aubrey Lehota finished 49th (30:16.16).

The Middies are back in action Saturday (October 18) when they compete in the OHSAA Division I District Championship back on the grounds of LCCC.
