Midview Cross Country races at Obenour Invitational

Midview Varsity Cross Country spent Saturday (September 28) morning competing at Vermilion High School's Obenour Invitational where the Middie boys placed 10th and girls took 8th at the 12-team event. [Complete Results]

Freshman Molly Ockuly led the girls team by placing 10th overall. She finished the 5K course in 22:35.80. Classmate Hannah Bacskay finished 33rd (23:47.46), while sophomore Alison Winslow placed 36th (23.51.26) sophomore Madelyn Czellath was 49th (25:22.28) and junior Aubrey Lehota finished 74th (29:08.31).

The boys squad was paced by senior Lucas Edgell with a 28th place finish. He cross the 5K line in 18:20.82. Junior Samuel Estes took 41st (19:02.99), freshman Hayden Maxwell was 61st (10:50.97), freshman Noah Brady placed 73rd (20:32.05), junior Christopher Payne finished 79th (21:08.13), senior Reuben Greenly was 81st (21:17.63) and senior Silas Carr placed 87th (21:33.89).

The Middies continue their season Thursday (October 3) with a mid-week race at Olmsted Falls High School.
