Cross Country competes at Ashland Invitational

Midview Varsity Cross Country continued its season at the Ashland Invitational Saturday (August 31) morning. The Middie Boys placed 16th of 18 teams, while the Girls only had four runners and did not score as a team. [Results]

Freshmen Hannah Bacskay led the girls with a 29th place finish. She completed the 5k race in 22:47.2. Sophomore Madelyn Czellath placed 60th (24:58.0), junior Aubrey Lehota took 92nd (29:03.4) and freshman Molly Ockuly was 93rd (29:04.8).

Senior Lucas Edgell paced the boys with a 44th place finish. He ran a 17:57.8. Junior Samuel Estes finished 88th (18:55.5), junior Christopher Payne took 126th (20:07.11), sophomore Logan Edgell was 142nd (20:28.6), freshmen Hayden Maxwell placed 146th (20:31.7) and senior Reuben Greenly rounded out the scoring by finishing 171st (21:04.6).

Midview is back in action September 7 with the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Invitational.
