Midview Girls Wrestling ends season at District Tournament

Midview Varsity Girls Wrestling's 2025-26 season came to an end at the OHSAA Northwest District Tournament Sunday (March 8) on the campus of Findlay High School.

Middies's four wrestlers that competed compiled 26 points to finish 28th at the event.

Junior Skye Price earned a spot on the podium with a sixth place finish at 110 pounds. She won her first two matches of the morning by pinfall before dropping her semifinal match-up to the eventual champion from Elmwood High School. Price dropped her consolation semifinal to Gibsonburg High School and then the fifth place match to Tinora High School.

Freshmen Aubree Costlow gained valuable experience during her first district event. The 115 pounder won her opening match with a pin. She then bounced back from a loss to the district champion from Wauseon High School to earn a pin over St. Marys Memorial High School before being eliminated by Shelby High School in the third round of consolations.

Junior Alaina Malone Brown matched the results of her 2025 district appearance by sandwiching a pinfall win against Riverdale High School between a pair of losses at 145 pounds.

Junior Olivia Kirkpatrick opened her 155 bracket with a quick pin against Wooster High School. After a quarterfinal loss to Sandusky High School, she defeated North Olmsted High School 8-4 before being eliminated in the next round by Calvert High School.

Freshmen Summer Massey, who normally wrestles at 155 pounds, actually qualified for the district tournament at 190 pounds. However, she failed to weigh enough to be placed on the bracket and was not allowed to compete.
