Midview Girls Wrestling places third at LCWCOA Tournament

Midview Girls Wrestling placed third at the Lorain County Women's Coaches and Officials Association (LCWCOA) Tournmament, which was hosted by Cloverleaf High School on Sunday (February 1).

The Middies' six wrestlers accumulated 94 points at the pool-style tournament. Columbia High School was crowned champion with 202 points, while Avon Lake High School took runner-up with 131.5 points.

Junior Skye Price finished 2-0 to win first place at 110 pounds, while freshman Aubree Costlow did the same at 115 pounds.

Freshman Makenzie Skolyak went 1-1 at 105 pounds to place second. Junior Alaina Malone Brown earned fourth place at 155 pounds after going 1-3 on the day. Freshman Summer Massey was fifth at 155 pounds as she went 1-4. Senior Anna Baker returned from injury and placed fifth at 170 pounds with a 2-2 record at the tournament.

The Middie next competition is slated to be at Keystone High School on February 12.
