Midview Girls Wrestling places fourth at New London Tournament
Midview Varsity Girls Wrestling earned a fourth place team finish by collecting 102.5 points at the 20-team New London Tournament on Sunday (January 18).
The Middies had six wrestlers compete in a tournament for the second straight day. This one featured pool play with the top six advancing to placement matches when the weight class allowed it.
Junior Olivia Kirkpatrick took home the 155 pound title after going 3-0 in pool play and then earning an 8-0 major decision in her championship match.
Junior Skye Price went 3-0 in pool play before dropping her 110 pound first place match to Cloverleaf and taking runner-up.
Freshman Aubree Costlow finished 3-1 in pool play and then won her third place match at 115 pounds.
Junior Alaina Malone Brown was 2-1 in pool play and then won her third place match at 145 pounds.
Freshmen Makenzie Skolyak and Summer Massey also competed in the 110 and 170 pound pool play on Sunday.
The Middies are back in action Thursday (January 22) when they play host to Elyria High School in a Southwestern Conference match that will begin at 6:30 p.m.
