Midview Girls Wrestling places 16th at Fremont Vantage Invitational
Midview Varsity Girls Wrestling took 16th place with 42 points at the 39-team Fremont Vantage Invitational, hosted by Ross High School on Saturday (January 17).
Freshman Aubree Costlow advanced to the 115 pound championship for the fourth straight tournament. Costlow took runner-up once again after Fremont Ross's Jaiden Long rallied for an 8-5 win with a pair of four-point nearfalls in the final period.
Junior Alaina Malone Brown tied for fifth at 145 pounds after finishing the day 2-2. Junior Olivia Kirkpatrick also tied for fifth at 155 pounds by winning three of her five matches. Neither weight class had a fifth place match.
Junior Skye Price freshman Makenzie Skolyak both competed at 110 pounds. Price went 1-2 and Skolyak 0-2 on the day. Freshman Summer Massey also dropped both of her matches at 170 pounds.
The Middies have a quick turnaround as they head back out west to compete in the New London Tournament on Sunday (January 18) at 10 a.m.
