Midview Girls Wrestling takes 12th at Lady Longhorn Invitational

Midview Varsity Girls Wrestling collected 147 points to finish 12th at the two-day, 48-team Lady Longhorn Invitational, hosted by Lutheran West High School Saturdya (December 27) and Sunday (December 28).

Freshman Aubree Costlow took runner-up at 115 pounds after finishing the event with a 7-1 record. Junior Skye Price placed eighth at 110 pounds. She finished 4-1 in pool play before dropping her quarterfinal to end day one. Price then defaulted her two matches on day two. Junior Alaina Malone Brown was sixth at 145 pounds and junior Olivia Kirkpatrick was 11th at 150 pounds. Senior Anna Baker was also slated to compete but an injury prevented her from taking part this weekend.

The Middies may a few matches against Southwestern Conference foe North Ridgeville High School when the Rangers bring their program to Kubuski Gym on January 8. That will depend on match-ups. They will then compete at the Eastlake North High School Open on January 11.
