Midview Girls Wrestling takes 8th at Cobos Classic
Midview Varsity Girls Wrestling opened it 2025-26 season with an eighth place finish Sunday (December 7) at the Cobos Insurance Classic, hosted by Avon Lake High School. The Middies had four of its six eligible wrestlers participate on opening weekend. All finished in the top seven and combined for 60 points at the 31-team event.
Junior Skye Price finished 4-0 to win the 110-pound weight class and earn her first championship of the year. Price had three pins and a major decision. Freshman Aubree Costlow earned third place at 115 pounds by going 3-1 in her first high school matches. In addition, junior Alaina Malone Brown took seventh place at 145 pounds after finishing 2-2 on the day, while senior Anna Baker went 3-2 to also take seventh at 170 pounds.
The Middies are back in action Thursday (December 11) when they play host to the Shoregals and Shoremen in a Southwestern Conference boys and girls dual, which will begin at 6:30 p.m.
