Girls Wrestling Produces a Pair of Regional Qualifiers

Midview High School's first-year Girls Wrestling program had two of its three student-athletes place fourth at the 2024 OHSAA Pre Regional Tournament, which was hosted by Avon Lake High School Sunday (February 25) afternoon.

Senior Mackenzie Kirkpatrick (145 pounds) finished 1-2, while freshmen Skye Price (110 pounds) went 2-2 at the event. Sophomore Emily Eakins (155 pounds) also competed in the Pre Regional missed the podium after finishing 1-2.

Midview, under the leadership of Corey Perkins, finished 15th at the Pre Regional event after totaling 29 points. Kirkpartick and Price advanced to the Regional Tournament at Mentor High School on March 3 where they will face a champion from another Pre Regional Tournament.
