Midview Volleyball loses to North Ridgeville 3-1
Midview Varsity Volleyball suffered a 3-1 (28-26, 25-10, 19-25, 25-23) Southwestern Conference loss to visiting North Ridgeville High School on Tuesday (August 26) inside Kubuski Gymnasium.
The Middies jumped out to a huge lead in set one only for the Rangers to rally and take it in extra points. North Ridgeville used the momentum to cruise to a set two win and 2-0 avantage. Midview was able to hold onto its lead in set three to extend the match to a fourth set. It appeared as if things were going to set five for the third time in four matches. However, the Middies late lead slipped away and the Rangers left with the win.
Junior Emily Martin led the Middies with 14 kills, while classmate Caroline Hamm added 12. Junior Mia Laury delivered six aces. Freshman Delaney Pebworth dished out 36 assist, while junior Kendyl Gregor paced the defense with 22 digs in the loss.
Midview looks to bounce back on Thursday (August 28) when it visits Avon High School at 6 p.m.
