Midview Girls Tennis places 8th at LCAAA Invitational

Midview Varsity Girls Tennis took 8th place at the annual Lorain County Athletic Administrator's Association (LCAAA) Invitational, which took place Thursday (September 4) and Saturday (September 6) at Avon High School.

The depleted Middies collected just 13 points. Junior Jillian Hubbard finished 8th after going 0-3. She actually injury defaulted during her seventh place match. Senior Brynn Wuensch won her initial second singles match on Thursday but was unavailble to continue on Saturday and finished fourth by default. Junior Danica Hazzard finished 1-2 at third singles to place sixth overall. Senior Leah Vasarab and sophomore Abigail Klooz lost their play-in match at first singles to miss out on the eight-team bracket. In addition, injuries prevented Midview from fielding a second doubles team in the tournament.

The Middies (6-4) look to get back to their winning ways when they visist Our Lady of the Elms on Monday (September 8) at 4:30 p.m.
