Midview Girls Soccer drops Senior Day match-up with Tallmadge

Midview Varsity Girls Soccer celebrated its seven seniors prior to its 2-1 loss to visiting Tallmadge High School Saturday (October 4) afternoon on Ross Field at Adelsberg Stadium.

The Middies trailed 1-0 at the half, but senior Marissa McGhee tied the game when she fielded a rebounded shot by sophomore Hannah Bacskay and fired it into the back of the net with 34:38 to play in the game. The Blue Devils, however, took advantage a foul in the box midway through the second half and converted the penalty kick for what proved to be the game-winner.

Midview (4-10-2, 0-6 SWC) closes out the regular season at home Wednesday (October 8) against Amherst Steele High School. Varsity action begins at 7 p.m.
