Aviators Top Middies 2-1 in Girls Soccer

Midview Varsity Girls Soccer battled visiting Alliance High School for 80 minutes but fell 2-1 Saturday (September 14) on Ross Field at Adelsberg Stadium.

The Aviators scored in the 12th and 15th minutes. The Middies had applied its offensive pressure for much of the second half and finally broke through in the 75th minute. Junior Rachael Anderson sent a shot toward the keeper, which was blocked but deflected to freshman Hannah Bacskay, who calmly finished it off for the goal. Unfortunately, Midview could not get the equalizer down the stretch.

The Middies (1-8-1) play host to Westlake High School Monday (September 16). JV begins at 5 p.m. Varsity follows at 7 p.m.
