Midview Boys Wrestling competes at Medina Invitational
Midview Varsity Boys Wrestling had four student-athletes compete at the Medina Invitational Tournament Monday (December 29) and Tuesday (December 30). The team's final placing was 41st with 25 points.
Senior Carrson Morris finished one match shy of the podium at 126 pounds. He dropped his first match but responded with three straight pins to advance to day two. Morris lost his first match on Tuesday to be eliminated with a 3-2 record.
Senior Braden Lehman won his first two matches by pinfall at 165 pounds before dropping his next two. Freshman Kyler Hanchosky went 1-2 at 120 pounds, which included a 9-4 win in his opening match.
Sophomore Owen Costlow bounced back from an opening loss to win two consolation matches before he was eliminated out of the 132 pound bracket.
The Middies are back in action when they play host to North Ridgeville High School in a Southwestern Conference dual on January 8 at 6:30 p.m.
