DiFranco fires school record 36; Middies split SWC Girls Golf opener

Midview senior Leah DiFranco shot a school record 36 on the front nine of Brentwood Golf Course during Monday (August 4) morning's Southwestern Conference opener against Avon High School and North Ridgeville High School.

The Middies defeated the Rangers 187-225 and lost to the high-powered Eagles 158-187.

DiFranco's one-over par performance topped her own previous record of 38, which came at the same location against Columbia High School on September 17, 2024.

Senior Hunter Crum added a 48, while senior Nina Ballachino scored a 51 and senior Olivia Keenan and sophomore Sophia Morgan contributed a 52 for Midview on the day.

The Middies compete in the SWC Preview on Tuesday (August 5) at Fox Creek Golf Course. Their tee times are still yet to be announced.
