Girls Golf defeats Firelands via tiebreaker

Midview Varsity Girs Golf edged past host Firelands High School in non-conference action Thursday (September 12) afternoon at Whiskyville Golf Club.

Junior Leah DiFranco fired a team-best 45. Junior Nina Ballachino and freshman Mia Vandemark both added a 56 while freshman Sophia Morgan contributed a 57. However, it came down to a fifth score to break the tie and sophomore Madeline Bernal came through with a 61 to clinch the victory.

The Middies (6-9) return to action Monday (September 16) with a home match against Bay High School at 3:30 p.m.
