Midview Girls Take fourth and Boys Place Fifth at Margaretta Invitational

Midview Varsity Track and Field participated in the 59th running of the Margaretta Invitational on Friday (May 2) evening. The Middie girls finished fourth with 69.5 points, while the boys placed fifth with 61 points at the ten-team event.

Midview girls had six top-three finishers. Sophomore Cora Vance won (13.14) and freshman Hannah Bacskay took third (13.36) the 100m Dash. Vance (26.45) and Bacskay (26.47) also placed second and third, respectively, in the 200m Dash. Sophomore Ava Hamm, sophomore Leah McKay, Bacskay and Vance then won the 4x100m Relay (50.54), and junior Jillian Hubbard placed third in the High Jump (4-10). 

The Middie boys had two top-three finishers. Senior Nolan Roth placed third in the 110m Hurdle (15.83), while junior Gage Weaver, Roth, freshman Andrew Morris and sophomore Logan Edgell took third in the 4x100m Relay (44.38).

Midview has the Southwestern Conference JV meet at Avon Lake on Wednesday (May 7) before competing at the Bell Invitational, hosted by Rocky River High School on Friday (May 9) afternoon.
