Weber advances to OHSAA Division II B Final in 100 Backstroke

Midview High School's freshman Alyson Weber earned a 13th place finish in the prelims of the 100 Yard Backstroke at the 2026 Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Division II Championship, which took place Thursday (February 26) evening at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton.

Weber, who was seeded ninth, finished the four lengths of the pool in 59.58 seconds. Weber's 13th place performance advanced her to the B Final on Friday (February 27) at approximately 8 p.m. It also helped her secure All-Ohio status, which is awarded to the top 16 finishers in each event. Weber joins Grace Henely '24 as the only Middie swimmers to earn All-Ohio.

Weber also qualified for and competed in the 200 Freestyle at the state's premier event. There, she took 23rd with a time of 1:59.54.
