Henely Qualifies for OHSAA DII Championship, Twice!

Midview junior Reagan Henely became the second Girls Swimmer to ever qualify for the OHSAA Championship when she did so with at-large bids in both the 200 Individual Medley and 500 Freestyle Friday (February 14) at the OHSAA Division II Northeast District Championship, hosted by Cleveland State University.

Reagan's sister Grace, who now swims at Niagara University, was the first to qualfy for Ohio's pinnacle event. She did so in 2023 before returning last year and earning Division I All-Ohio honors in the 100 Breastsroke.

Reagan, who now competes in Division II, secured her trip to the state finals with a fourth place finish in the 200 IM. She improved upon her sixth seed by dropping more than three seconds and crossing the line in 2:13.71. Henely made it 2-for-2 in state qualification with a sixth place finish in the 500 Freestyle. Again, she was seeded sixth and held serve by coming in 5:27.47, which was more than six seconds faster than her Sectional time.

The 2025 OHSAA Division II Swimming Championship will be held at C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton. Prelims are Thursday (February 20) at 5 p.m. The finals are slated for Friday (February 21) at 5 p.m.
