Midview Softball season ends with 2-0 loss to Revere
Midview Varsity Softball had its season come to an unfortunate end with a 2-0 loss to visiting Revere High School in the OHSAA Division III District Semifinal Tuesday (May 19) evening.
The fifth-seeded Middies (18-8) were shutout for just the third time on the season and limited to only three hits by the 25th-seeded Minutemen.
The game remained scoreless until the fourth, when Revere led off with a triple and scored when a two-out line drive glanced off the glove of pitcher Savannah Holcomb and rolled out of reach. The Minutemen were able to add an insurance run with a two-out double in the sixth.
Holcomb (14-6) suffered the loss after allowing two runs on three hits and striking out eight.
