Midview Softball tops Avon Lake 13-6

Midview Varsity Girls Softball extended its win streak to three games with a 13-6 Southwestern Conference victory over host Avon Lake High School on Wednesday (May 7) evening.

The Middies had two big innings offensively, scoring five runs in the fourth and six runs in the seventh. It was a balanced attack as eight of the nine starters had a hit, including sophomore Dezirae Thomas, who had two, both doubles.

Sophomore Savannah Holcomb (6-8) earned the win after allowing five runs (one earned) on five hits with six strikeouts over six innings.

Midview (7-8, 6-7 SWC) will resume its suspended game against visiting Avon High School on Thursday (May 8) at 4:45 p.m. The game was called due to rain after the third batter of the first inning on April 7.
