Varsity Softball tops Strongsville 11-2

Midview Varsity Softball took a break from Southwestern Conference play to battle host Strongsville High School and came back with an 11-2 victory on Saturday (April 12) afternoon.

The Middie offense continued its recent up-tick with a 14-hit effort against the Mustangs. Sophomore leadoff hitter Dezirae Thomas collected three hits, while sophomores Savannah Presser and Mallory Hechko as well as junior Nina Ballachino
all had a pair of hits. Hechko and Ballachino both had a double.

Sophomore Savannah Holcomb (2-4) earned the win on the mound after allowing two runs on six hits with 10 strikeouts over seven innings.

The Middies (2-4, 1-3 SWC) visit Amherst Steele High School on Monday (April 14) at 4:45 p.m.
