Midview Boys Tennis finished 4th at SWC Tournament

Midview Varsity Boys Tennis wrapped up its competition at the 2026 Southwestern Conference Tournament on Tuesday (April 28) at Avon High School. The Middies collected 24 points to finish fourth among the eight schools.

First-year players and seniors Marcus McMahon and Kaiden Vonya made an impressive run to the first doubles finals before falling 6-0, 6-1 to the top-seeded Eagles. Senior Trenton Popek and junior Lila Booth also finished runner-up in the second doubles bracket after they also lost to top-seeded Avon 6-2, 6-1.

The tournament began on Saturday (April 26) before getting rained out early in the action. It was picked up Monday (April 27) where junior Ryan Quinn took sixth at first singles, senior Evan Kneisel placed fifth at second singles and senior Thomas Workman finished sixth at third singles.

The Middies are back in action Wednesday (April 29) when they continue a match at North Olmsted High School, which was suspended due to rain on March 31.
