Varsity Boys Tennis defeats North Ridgeville 4-1

Midview Varsity Boys Tennis earned a 4-1 road Southwestern Conference victory on Wednesday (April 9) afternoon. The match featured a pair of marathon matches, both of which were won by the Middies.

Senior Nicholas Hubbard won 6-2, 6-2 at first singles. Junior Evan Kneisel won 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-5) at third singles. He rallied from a 0-5 deficit in the second set. Senior Brett Sanzone and sophomore Ryan Quinn won 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-5) at first doubles. Junior Trenton Popek and sophomore Gavin Tribby won 6-4, 6-1 at second doubles.

Midview (1-3, 1-2 SWC) is back on the court Friday (April 11) and Saturday (April 12) for the Lorain County Athletic Administrators Association (LCAAA) Tournament at Avon High School. Action begins Friday at 4 p.m.
