Amherst Steele defeats Boys Tennis 3-2

Midview Varsity Boys Tennis opened its season with a 3-2 Southwestern Conference loss to visiting Amherst Steele High School on Monday (March 31) afternoon.

Senior Nicholas Hubbard won 6-0, 6-2 at first singles, while junior Trenton Popek and sophomore Gavin Tribby won 6-4, 6-4 at second doubles.

The Middies (0-1, 0-1 SWC) are back in action against Avon Lake High School on Wednesday (April 2) at 4:30 p.m. Both JV and Varsity will play on the Midview Tennis courts.
