Lakewood defeats Midview Boys Soccer 5-1

Midview Varsity Boys Soccer fell 5-0 to host Lakewood High School Monday (August 18) at Garfield Middle School.

The Rangers took a 1-0 advantage with just under 13 minutes to play in the opening half. The Middies tied the game at 1 when senior Kaiden Vonya converted a penalty kick after a handball in the box with 35:15 to play in the second half. Lakewood, however, responded with four straight goals to seal the victory.

The Middies (0-2) play host to Avon Lake High School in its Southwestern Conference opener on Wednesday (August 27) at 7 p.m.
