Boys Basketball posts Senior Night win over North Olmsted
Midview Varsity Boys Basketball earned a hard-fought 59-49 Senior Night victory over visiting North Olmsted High School Saturday (February 15) on Troy DiFranco Court inside Kubuski Gymnasium.
The loss snapped a 10-game losing streak and improved the Middies record to 3-19. Midview's four seniors all contributed to the victory. Brayden Newton posted a double-double with a game-high 23 points and 12 rebounds. Tyler Davis added 12 points, Cody Martin contributed 7 points, 6 boards, 6 assists and 2 blocks and Brenden Lucey poured in 6 points and dished out 6 assists.
Sophomore Luke Jockel had just 3 points but broke the school's single season three-point field goals made record with his 71st of the season. Nyco Vidal held the record since 2019-20.
Midview now turns its focus to its OHSAA Tournament Sectional Final match-up with host Hoban High School February 22 at 7 p.m.
