Midview Cheerleading wins 2023 SWC Championship
Midview High School Cheerleading made program history en route to earning Grand Champions at the 2023 Southwestern Conference Cheerleading Championship Monday (November 6) on the campus of Berea-Midpark High School. The Middies, who also won top honors in 2020-21, won the Traditional Competition for the first time as a member of the SWC.
Midview compiled 86.7 points from the judges to edge Avon High School (85.1) and Amherst Steele High School (80.85) in the Traditional division. The three-time defending Midview Game Day squad finished runner-up in this division in 2023. The Comets edged the Middies 95.1 to 90.1 to win their first Game Day title at the event, which introduced the division in 2020-21.
