Midview Captures third straight SWC Game Day Championship

Midview High School Cheerleading continued its dominance in the Game Day division of the Southwestern Conference Cheerleading Championship Monday (November 7) on the campus of North Ridgeville City Schools.

The Middies' Game Day squad captured is third straight title at the event, which introduced the division in 2020-21. Midview scored 91.8 points, including 49-of-50 in the sideline/crowd leading portion. Avon High School was the closest competitor. The Eagles finished with 90.1 points in Game Day.

Midview also competed in Traditional Competition where it placed fourth with 78.15 points. When combining both scores the Middies finished runner-up overall with 169.95 points. Avon won the SWC title with 177.2 points.

Midview, who qualified for UCA Nationals in both divisions on October 30, is back in action November 20 when the Middies compete in the Ohio High School Cheerleading Coaches Association (OHSCCA) Best in the State Game Day competition at Olentangy Berlin High School.
