2024 SWC Bowling Championship to be held February 11 at Spevock's Nautical Lanes

Sepvock's Nautical Lanes in Avon Lake will be the site of the 2023-24 Southwestern Conference Boys and Girls Bowling Championships Sunday (February 11). Action is hosted by Midview Athletics and begins at 9 a.m.

Amherst Steele High School, Avon High School, Avon Lake High School, Berea-Midpark High School, Elyria High School, Midview High School, North Ridgeville High School and Olmsted Falls High School will battle for this year's crown. A year ago, North Ridgeville took home the boys title with 4,053 pins, while Amherst won the girls championship with 3,324 pins.

General Admission for the SWC Championship is $8. It important to note that SWC Passes or Senior Citizen Passes are NOT accepted at SWC Championship events. Digital Tickets can be purchased through Hometown Ticketing at https://swcohio.net/tickets/. In addition, cash and credit card sales will be available at the gate. Doors will open for spectators at 8:30 a.m. Bowling starts at 9 a.m. Teams will compete in three regular games then 6 baker games.

Results will be posted periodically throughout the tournament at https://twitter.com/Ohio_SWC and then a complete wrap up will be available following the tournament at https://swcohio.net.

A concessions stand will be open during the tournament and sponsored by the Nautical Lanes.

The SWC regular season head-to-head counts for 60% and the SWC Tournament 40% in the overall standings.

Amherst heads into the SWC Tournament in first place with 27 points following a 5-0 regular season record, while Berea-Midpark, Midview and North Ridgeville all went 3-2 have 24.3 points. One of those three schools would have to finish two spots higher than the Comets to win the overall championship in 2024.

Amherst and Olmsted Falls boys are tied atop the standings prior to the SWC Tournament as both schools have 25.5 points following a 6-1 regular season record. Berea-Midpark sits in third with 21 points. The Titans need to finish three places better than either the Comets or Bulldogs to steal the title.
