Midview Athletic Boosters Seeking Pull Tab Fundraising Partners

The Midview Athletic Boosters are seeking local businesses in Lorain County to partner with its growing Pull Tab fundraising program. Proceeds go directly to Midview student-athletes and sport programs.

The MAB established its Pull Tab program a few years ago and currently has machines at Brentwood Golf Course, Chatty's Tavern, Lu's Pizza and Mezcal Mexican Restuarant. Any business within the county can participate. Examples of succesful partnerships with other districts include restuarants, bars, gas stations, golf courses, convenience stores, etc. Establishments can get a machine or a box depending on the best fit for them!

Pull Tab Fast Facts

  • This will not cost you anything to support the Midview Athletic Booster Club!

  • You will write us a check for the cost of the tickets that will fill your machine/box. We will hold this check until you place an order for the next set of tickets. The amount of the check you write will be paid back to you through the money your patrons use to buy the tickets—that money is yours! You will never be out any money from the check. We recommend this is kept as a separate account for your records and finances.

  • On October 31 of each year, there shall be no outstanding balances and all checks will be deposited per Ohio Revised Code. This is one time a year that this is required.

  • We will write you a check for your profits of the tickets, which you can cash immediately. This can be used to start your payout fund for the winners of the machine. You will earn $0.06 per ticket.

  • If you are interested in having our machine/box, we will set up a meeting with you to answer any questions, go over all the details and sign the paperwork.

  • The best part about this—it costs you nothing & you are supporting our Midview Athletes! 

Example for a 4000-ticket box:

At the time of receiving the first tickets from Midview Boosters (non-profit) the LOCATION/RESTAURANT would issue a check for (per box of 4000): $1000. The Booster Club will issue a check to LOCATION/RESTAURANT for (per box of 4000): $240. This is the profit on the sale of the first box ($0.06 per ticket).

Upon the delivery of the next box of pull tabs the LOCATION/RESTAURANT will issue another check of $1000 and the Booster Club would deposit the original check that was issued at the time of the first order. The LOCATION/RESTAURANT will always have one check on hold with the Booster's until the next batch is brought out.

(This example above is based upon a game that has 4000 tickets. Some games have 3080 and others have 3640 etc… The formula still applies the same way as the above but with different numbers.)

 

Quick & Easy Math:

  • The Midview Athletic Boosters receive on an average of $0.18 per ticket. 
  • The Midview Athletic Boosters pays the LOCATION/RESTAURANT  $0.06 per ticket sold. 
  • The Midview Athletic Boosters typically pay the procuring sports team 10% of the gross sale for the 5 years (the length of the contract with the Location/Restaurant)
